Women of Words is a group of six visual artists: Marianne Connolly, Laura Holland, Sue Katz, Nancy Meagher, Rochelle Shicoff and Janet W. Winston. They began meeting monthly in 2019 to share and support one another's writing. Calling themselves Women of Words (WOW), they have collaborated on previous group projects, such as online readings, exhibits at Gallery A3 in Amherst and at the Palmer Public Library, and the creation of a 12-panel accordion book. And they continue to work individually, seeking ways in which their visual art enriches and reflects their writing, and exploring the interconnections between image and language.
